One Stock, Endless Options: Sizes, Length, Density and Gray Ratio at GM Hair
One Stock, Endless Options: Sizes, Length, Density and Gray Ratio at GM Hair![]()
The hair products industry has long faced a contradiction: delivery needs to be fast, but demand is extremely scattered. GM Hair’s “One Stock” approach converges this dispersion into four superimposable dimensions – size, length, density and gray-to-white ratio. A single inventory thus no longer corresponds to a single finished product, but becomes a combinable supply base.
Size determines coverage
Small hair pieces are used for partial hair replacement, wide hair curtains are used to thicken the whole head, and individual hair blocks are used for complete styling. GM Hair's sizing options are built on the logic of a cuttable, pieceable base. The same inventory can be divided into different areas or combined to form a larger coverage area. Purchasing and inventory management do not have to stock each area separately, but can adjust the cutting path of the standard base based on historical orders.
Length determines vertical shape
The length not only changes the appearance, but also changes the weight distribution and wearing comfort. The ear length is light and suitable for both sides of the head and the back of the neck; the shoulder length is suitable for everyday hair; the extra long length above the waist meets the needs of the stage or special shooting. GM Hair maintains a continuous supply in length gradients, allowing the same hair texture to present different styles at different lengths. Length selection at the order level can therefore be done post-processing, eliminating the need to cut long hair to death at the raw material stage.
Density determines visual realism
Density is an easily overlooked variable that directly exposes the traces of hair extensions. A density that is too low will make the joints clearly visible, while a density that is too high will appear unnatural and increase burden on the scalp. GM Hair regards density as an independent specification and relies on the same source to adjust the implantation amount per unit area. Light density is suitable for customers with small hair volume, while medium and high density is suitable for customers with thick hair or those who are looking for a fluffy effect. Density elasticity allows batches of raw materials to be matched repeatedly to different needs.
The gray-to-white ratio determines color fusion
The gray-to-white ratio provides delicate control between natural coverage, age transition and gray fashion. GM Hair's gray ratio does not rely on pre-preparing a large number of finished color numbers, but mixes black and white hair in a ratio based on the original hair. Total black, light gray, medium gray and high proportion of gray and white can all be prepared in the same raw material pool. The more complex the customer's hair color is, the more prominent the value of the adjustable gray-to-white ratio.
Size, length, density and gray-to-white ratio are not isolated, but together form a set of variable combinations. The same stock can be cut into small pieces, kept at medium length, made into medium density, mixed with 30% white hair, or it can be expanded to full head size, lengthened to past the waist, increased in density and adopted a high proportion of gray hair. GM Hair’s “One Stock” model shows a path: hair product companies do not have to infinitely expand SKUs to chase demand, but can separate inventory attributes and allow limited raw materials to be combined to produce nearly unlimited finished product possibilities.
